The illustrator behind the children's book "Doodlehair"

Bodø girl Malin Fjellvoll Andreassen has always been passionately interested in art and creativity. In 2023, she completed a two-year education in visual arts at Nydalen Art School, which has laid a solid foundation for her work in visual arts.

"I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity I had to illustrate 'Doodlehair,' a children's book that conveys an important message. As a child, I also experienced exclusion and not being accepted or included by other children. This experience has influenced me in the creation of the illustrations. I believe that the text portrays the theme in an imaginative and creative way that will captivate children."

In the design of shapes, colors, and ideas, Malin has always aimed to pique children's interest. The purpose is for them to be able to identify with and relate to the objects and situations. I hope that the book can contribute to increased awareness and understanding of being different.
